Instead of having to buy lanterns from a store, make your own! They'll be unique, and cost a lot less.
• Mason jars, or other glass jars
• Tealight Candles (or electric tealights)
• Paint (optional)
• Fake blood (optional)
• Black Halloween cloth (optional)
1. First, decorate your glass jars however you'd like. Use paints, fake blood, whatever you want! If you want to be artistic, paint an image on them. Maybe burn candles in them to give them an old, smoked look. Or, just let them go au natural.
2. Optionally, you can glue creepy black Halloween cloth around them.
3. Place lights in them. Tealight candles are fine if they're at home. Just be sure to observe all normal fire safety rules. If these will be in a professional haunt, you should probably use electric tealights instead, to prevent anybody from knocking them over and starting a fire.
